Who can checkout equipment and studios?
Any current College of Liberal Arts student, faculty or staff member. Please call 612-626-5881 or visit 640 Rarig Center to set up your first reservation and fill out appropriate paperwork. Once this is complete, you will be able to make reservations online.

When are the facilities open?

I tried going to the online reservation site, and it says no authorized checkout centers. What gives?
Access to equipment is restricted to those with CLA affiliation. If you are registered for a CLA course or have declared a CLA major, are CLA faculty or staff, you can access reservations. If you believe there is an error, please contact Jacob Kramer at

How do I make a reservation?
Call 612-626-5881 or visit 640 Rarig Center to set up your first reservation. Once we have your signed agreement to the Equipment Policy, you will be able to make a reservation.

What if I'm not in CLA?
For non-CLA students, faculty or staff, visit Library Media Services for equipment and OIT's Studio C for studio space.

What kind of equipment do you have available?
There is large inventory of "prosumer" to professional level cameras, monitors, lights, audio, and grip equipment.
