How do I submit my proposal?

Do I need to confer with an IT Professional before submitting the proposal?
  • No, but you should. The committee may refer the proposal to an IT Professional before reviewing.
Do I need to get a letter from my department chair supporting my proposal?
  • Yes. Department chairs will be asked to provide letters of support for each proposal to make sure they align with department goals. They need to be submitted at the same time as the proposal.
Submit grant materials by the deadline via the CLA Technology Grant system. Send your chair letter of support to the attention of Sarah Knoblauch at cla-acadtech@umn.edu.
Application window open from mid-December to early March (firm dates TBD for 2016).
  • - Purchase only those items that have been reviewed and approved by the committee, if awarded a grant. Any cost-savings will return to the committee.
  • - Submit request for reimbursements by the proposed deadline.
  • - Contact us at cla-acadtech@umn.edu if there is a need to deviate from the proposed timeline or equipment to be purchased.
